Gridmark is made by Tempore LLC, Orlando, Florida. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Gridmark on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.
What we collect
Nothing. Gridmark has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Tempore does not run a server for Gridmark and does not receive your plans, locations, tracks or photos.
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send us crash reports and usage statistics for Gridmark. Apple prepares these without your name or contact details. You can turn this off in Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.
Your location
Gridmark uses your device's location to show your position, save points, navigate and record tracks. Your location stays on your device. While you record a track or have an arrival alert turned on, Gridmark keeps using location in the background, and your device shows that it is doing so. You can change location access at any time in your device's Settings.
Your plans and photos
Points, routes, tracks, maps and photos are stored on your device. When you add a photo to a point, Gridmark removes the photo's embedded location and camera details before saving it.
iCloud sync
Sync is off until you turn it on. If you turn on Sync with iCloud, your plans, including point photos, are stored in your private iCloud database and synced between your own devices by Apple. Tempore cannot access that data. Apple's privacy policy applies to iCloud.
Map, trail and elevation downloads
When you ask Gridmark to download maps, trails or elevations, it sends the area, route points or point you chose to the U.S. Geological Survey (The National Map) or the U.S. Forest Service. Like any web request, these agencies also receive your device's internet address, and they may keep logs under their own policies. Gridmark sends nothing else with these requests and contacts these services only when you ask.
Sharing
Gridmark shares a trip, file or coordinate only when you choose to, using the share option you pick, such as AirDrop, Messages or Files.
Children
Gridmark does not collect information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Delete plans in the app, or delete the app to remove everything stored on the device. To remove synced data, turn off Sync with iCloud in Gridmark, then delete Gridmark's data in your device's iCloud storage settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
